A new Construction Training Facility for the Centre for Appropriate Technology at the Desert Peoples Centre was opened on Friday, 6 May 2011 by Minister Warren Snowdon. The Facility is a significant expansion of the capacity for construction and fabrication training for central Australia. Funding totalling $1.5M was provided by the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Learning and enterprise activities in the facility began in June 2011.
