Individual Learners

CAT learners come to training from a variety of backgrounds. Urban learners are often referred from other agencies and organisations like Job Network providers, schools, Aboriginal Councils, family members or through word of mouth.

The courses are hands on, practical and skills based which give students opportunities to explore pathways to employment, apprenticeships or further training. CAT also has links with enterprise development agencies that can assist with business information.

Support for learning is available from the People and Community Services team. This might include bus pick-up, mentoring, and for remote students accommodation and travel assistance if they have to come to town for training.

Remote Learner Groups

CAT also delivers training in remote communities. Communities are encouraged to identify projects as a basis for training.
