Fire Trailer

CAT and the NT Fire and Emergency Services together with funding support from the Desert Knowledge Co-Operative Research Centre in Alice Springs developed a Fire Trailer to specifically meet the needs for remote communities, pastoral stations and rural volunteer fire services.

The Fire Trailer has been designed as a sturdy yet mobile unit which can be towed behind a four wheel drive vehicle within communities or fighting grass fires in rough country. Guidance from the experienced NTFES staff ensured only the best and most appropriate equipment is used in the fire trailer design.
